After a string of bad news this week, Donald Trump is poised to take the reins of the presidency in Virginia on Monday.
The Associated Press reports that Virginia is set to be the first state in the country to hold an early voting, which begins at 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, and is expected to end in roughly two hours.
In a bid to help bolster turnout, Democrats will be distributing fliers that call out a number of upcoming elections in Virginia and urge voters to come out to vote.
Trump is scheduled to take to the stage at 8 p.m., and the election is expected on-time and in all 50 states.
The AP also reports that the Associated Press has received more than 100,000 calls from Americans in need of help voting in the aftermath of the devastating storm.
As of 11:50 a.ms. local news from Washington, D.C., has been restored, but it’s unclear if it will be possible to go to the polls in other areas.
