Donald Trump is the worst candidate for president in 2020, according to a poll conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit.
The results were published by the magazine on Wednesday, and the poll found that voters would rather have a Republican than a Democrat in the Oval Office, and would prefer a Democrat to a Republican if the election were held today.
“Trump and Clinton are both extremely unpopular in their own right and they have both been accused of many terrible things, from inciting violence to using racist and sexist language to undermining the rule of law,” the magazine said in its story on the poll.
“It is the voters who have a real problem with the two candidates.
Trump and Clinton have become the polar opposite of their supporters.
They are both polar opposites.”
It is not the first time the poll has found that Trump and his Republican opponent, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, are the two worst presidents to run for office in the past 100 years.
During the 2016 election, Trump’s approval rating was around 55 percent, and Clinton’s was around 45 percent.
